Mitsubishi Evo Pulley Kit
New from GFB is the Under-drive Crank Pulley for the Mitsubishi EVO VIII & IX. Like all GFB pulleys, the material used is 6000 series aluminium alloy billet, which nets a large weight saving of 1.4 kg over the factory pulley, without sacrificing strength or reliability.
The kit comes complete with the required serpentine belt, and installation is dead easy no specialized tools are required and it can be done in as little as 30 minutes. The accessories are under-driven by 20%, which does NOT compromise their performance at low RPM, but does help reduce parasitic losses at high RPM.
Like all GFB lightweight under-drive pulleys, the improvement to the car is felt in the form of sharper throttle response (particularly off boost), and the engine feels more willing to rev. A useful comparison is the difference between performance on a cool evening vs. a warm day, or having the A/C off vs. on.
The best lightweight pulley kit for MITSUBISHI Lancer EVO IV-IX-96-07--The GFB Evo Crank Pulley 2011.
GFB's lightweight underdrive crank pulley (part number 2011) is made from anodized aircraft-grade billet 6061-T6 aluminium and offers sharper throttle response and faster acceleration. Kit includes: crank pulley and belt.
GFB pulleys are designed to improve acceleration by reducing the rotational mass (inertia) on the crankshaft as well as parasitic loads from the driven accessories. The effect is similar to a lighter flywheel, and the engine feels more lively and willing to rev.
We know that people are sometimes concerned about possible adverse effects of lightweight pulleys and underdriving, but rest assured we have done our homework! The underdrive ratios have been optimised to ensure there are NO adverse effects on the performance of the accessories, and whilst it is true that some engine types do suffer harmonic issues from lightweight pulleys, we steer clear of those. The kits we release are thoroughly application tested and do NOT cause engine damage in the short or long term.
GFB products are manufactured in Australia and the company is accredited to ISO 9001, which ensures our products meet stringent quality requirements at all stages of manufacture.
GFB have Australia's best performance turbo management solutions.
