REDARC Voltage Reducer 30A Switchmode SMF30

REDARC's 30A Switch Mode Voltage Reducer is a part of the compact SMF Series, which feature ignition-switched output in addition to constant output for conserving radio memory. Weighing in at just 1.1kg, it's easy to transport and install. The SMF30, designed to operate sensitive radio and communication equipment, is ideally suited to applications that require a low-noise output. The SMF30 is fully enclosed by a silicon elastomer and can be installed either inside the vehicle or a location external to the vehicle.

The SMF series of switch mode voltage reducers by REDARC supply 13.6V or 13.7V +/- 5% (depending on the model) from a 24V negative ground auto electrical system. Use your SMF voltage reducer for lamps, small motors, computer & communication equipment, fridges, pumps, TVs, and electronic loads between a maximum of 2-60 amps continuous rating, dependant on the unit.

PROTECTION
All SMF converters are protected against voltage spikes, continuous overloads, and short circuits.
The SMF5 & SMF60 are also protected against reversed/swapped conditions.
The SMF10 & SMF60 will reduce output voltage or switch off in the event of an overload or short circuit and automatically reset when the overload/short is removed. The load is protected by an independent over-voltage protection circuit and all protection is fully electronic and doesn't rely on relays or fuses.

PRECAUTIONS
SMF2, SMF5, & SMF8 should be mounted in a sheltered location inside the vehicle. Avoid steam cleaning, high-pressure cleaning, and water spray.
SMF10 to SMF60 are fully potted in a silicon elastomer and can be installed to a location outside of the vehicle. High pressure cleaning should be avoided.
